One person has been confirmed dead and two others left with varying degrees of injuries after robbers raided Naagamni fuel filling station at Savelugu in the Northern Region on Saturday morning.
According to the Manager Musah Iddrisu, they reported to work at about 2.00 am on Saturday dawn when, a group of mask-wearing robbers numbering more than ten armed with guns, metal bars and cutlasses attacked workers.
He disclosed that the ruthless robbers tied them up with ropes and subjected them to severe beatings.
They later broke into the office, damaged the safe and took away monies kept there in addition to the ones on them.
After the robbers left, they were able to untie themselves and rushed Osman who sustained serious injuries to Savelugu Municipal Hospital for treatment.
On their return to the station, they found driver Sayibu Idi Amin, aged 52, who parked his club beer Articulator vehicle NO. GN 3163- 09 to take rest at the station dead with his hands tied behind his back.
Both legs were also tied together. The body was removed and deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation pending identification and autopsy.
The robbers also broke the front right side door glass of the articulator truck.
